DOTS Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Five Stones Theatre wanted to combine art, technology and performance in a way that was interactive for kids
CLIENT
Five Stones Theatre
OBJECTIVES
PROJECT TYPE
Interactive Experiences
  • Tell a story using digital and physical mediums
  • Allow audiences to interact with the performance
FINAL PRODUCT
In the last act of the performance, kids were invited to stand up and join in. As they moved their hands, brush strokes appeared on an empty wall.

Through this motion capture technology with AR, the audience was able to create their own art and tell their own story.
BRINGING THE IDEA TO LIFE
Five Stones Theatre Company sought to push the limits of what theatre is and bring technology and performance together.
This project is an example of using AR in an interactive performance setting.
The story we told through this collaboration was that of a young artist who was trying to pursue her dreams. Five Stones Theatre wanted to show that drawing could be a kinetic and fun experience.
Our team experimented with various brushes and textures which would be implemented into the software.
